Westenhanger Castle is a venue we return to time and time again and enjoy every visit. With such keen staff always on hand to help, mixed wit ha spectacular backdrop, it’s always a stunning setting for a fairytale wedding story!

Shanon & Matt met when they were both working together in Maidstone around 2014, starting as work colleagues, then acquaintances, then friends, then finally dating over 7 years officially as a couple, attaining the ultimate acolade of being both engaged and proud cat-parents!
Matt proposed in Seville, Spain. Despite Shanon’s best friends being convinced that Matt was going to pop the question, she was not so convinced since she had packed all of their luggage for the weekend away…! Even when Matt was being suspiciously grumpy and ‘on-edge’ she remained unconvinced. The proposal was understated and private, a quiet spot in the Plaza del Triunfo – a magical and perfect proposal for a wonderful couple.
The day’s fun was action packed and full of adventures. Carl was on hand with the perfect ‘floofing’ and the beautiful bridesmaids made for the most fun ‘getting ready’ and group photos we could ask for.
The evening was almost spoilt by the appearance of a wasp trying to sting the bride’s EYE!!! Luckily Mykey was on hand and despite a huge fear of wasps quickly yanked the dangling offender out of the bride’s eye to minimise the damage! Just call Mykey the ‘Wasp-Slayer’! haha! Handily the ultimate bridesmaid Jess was on hand with her emergency kit to solve the issues and the sting was not even noticable after a little first aid, allowing the evenings festivities to continue!
