WASING PARK – READING WEDDING VENUE

A beautiful barn wedding venue like no other, Wasing Park, which is located near Reading, Basingstoke and Newbury, houses a collection of beautiful historical buildings nestled in Berkshire’s charming and stunning countryside. The stunning Victorian Summerhouse, the Castle Barn and the superb Stables Lodge hotel, all make this an ideal wedding venue for your dream luxury wedding.

The Honeymoon Suite boasts a massive bed (Wasing Park boasts it is the biggest bed in Berkshire – and we believe them!) and is a brilliant location for getting ready and bridal prep photos. Featuring magnificent beams and beautiful views of the gardens, it makes for a wonderful location for wedding photography (see images below!).

Wasing Park is famous for its fabulous Castle Barn, an ideal location for a Castle Barn Wedding.  Ideal for the wedding breakfast and evening reception, this red-brick tower is adorned by wonderful boho and boutique touches that make it a wonderful location to celebrate your wedding. The Victorian Summerhouse is located in the Terrace Garden and boasts a white wooden frame and roof with wooden seating and large windows for plenty of daylight during your ceremony. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the greenery and Victorian architecture that makes Wasing Park so special, this grade II listed building makes for the perfect location to exchange your vows.

Jodies & Chris’ Stunning Luxury Wedding at Wasing Park

We met Jodie and Chris thanks to the recommendation of one of our previous clients – and we were super excited to work with this beautiful young couple on their dream day! We found out during the  timeline consultation and venue walk-around that Chris (originally from South Africa) had planned the perfect romantic wedding proposal in Kruger Park in South Africa.  Kruger Park boasts stunning sweeping landscapes, and Wasing Park was the perfect choice to accompany such engagement scenery with its own stunning landscape scenery of Berkshire.

The weather was typically English in August, with lots of sunny hot spells indispersed with cloudy spells. Although this can be very challenging for us as Wedding Photographers, it’s also extremely exciting as this makes for beautiful stunning wedding photography with a nice variety for the wedding album and canvases to adorn our clients walls – dramatic cloudy skies are a wonder to behold!

The day was relaxed and the guests were super friendly – it was a joy and an honour to capture Jodie & Chris’ big day – please see below for a selection of our favourites from their special wedding day together…
