The Ravenswood is a big favourite venue in Sussex we always enjoy making photographys at and we were honoured to tell the story of Marisa & Sebastian’s most special day!

Marisa & Sebastian initially met through mutual friends, at a Halloween and after a little time to realise something special was there they reconnected through facebook. Sebastian sent a message asking to meet, and Fireworks night was an event they both were attending. There was an instant connection, and they spent the whole evening talking about future aspirations and what they wanted their lives to look like. They shared their first kiss that evening, and went on their first date the following week. (AWWWW!)
 
Fast forward eight years and Marisa began asking if Seb would ever propose to her! Seb always knew he wanted to marry Marisa, but he knew she deserved the perfect proposal, both because of how special she was and also because Seb made her wait so long! They had planned a trip to Dubai and Seb knew that this would be the perfect place to propose.
 
As they both knew that the plan was to marry each other, they had already started looking at engagement rings together. Every time they looked, Marisa’s choice and styling kept changing! But after looking many, many more times together, Marisa finally settled on a style she liked. This mean Seb knew the type to get! Seb found on a trip to California the perfect ring and as such was able to buy the engagement ring without Marisa knowing, packed it in their suitcase and brought it home without Marisa knowing. It was kept hidden at home, as Marisa continued TEASING Seb asking if they would ever get married! Little did she know, Seb had everything planned out…
 
Dubai has always been a destination on Marisa’s bucket list, and Seb knew it would be perfect. However, there were so many different locations and ways to propose, how to make it perfect?! Seb wanted it to be intimate and special. A brainwave! It would be best on a boat tour, which stopped in front of the Burj Al Arab. Seb booked the trip during golden hour so the pictures would be amazing. Funnily enough, Marisa still had no idea that Seb was proposing as the day before she stated that she knew it wouldn’t happen there. (hahaha!) Less than 24 hours later, they were an engaged couple after nearly 9 years together.
 

Their wonderful day at the Ravenswood in Sussex was the perfect wedding venue setting for the next step in the wonderful love story – with lots of events and wedding ideas planned to perfection for the stage to be set for a wedding love story that will last a lifetime!  

The highlight for us – and there were so many highlights at this fantastic weddings! – was the touching moment of Grandad seeing bride in her dress for the first time! There was no a dry eye in the house!

Marisa & Sebastian not only benefitted from the big advantage of a pre-wedding engagement photo shoot that meant they were on the ball and cooking as soon as we got going, but they also paid for extra coverage meaning with all the exciting events taking place they got over 1000+ wedding photos to remember their most special day!
