Swarling Manor, a wedding venue nestled in the heart of Kent, is a hidden gem we were excited to discover! Located near Canterbury this fantastic location is the perfect setting for a wedding love story!

Hannah and Sam met when Hannah’s housemates at university convinced her to join them at the snow sports social where Sam was welfare officer. They didn’t see each other again until Hannah’s housemates kept bringing Sam home with them and finally he plucked up the courage to ask her out!

Sam proposed on holiday in the Cotswolds where he had planned on proposing at some point during the holiday but only managed to wait until the morning of day two!

Sam proposed in the cottage they were staying in and had put out candles, bought prosecco, and prepared a little speech (AWWWWW!). The ring was in a box bought on their first holiday together to Budapest in for the sole purpose to use for the proposal. The box stayed carefully hidden away for many years through four house moves and one nerve wracking drive down to the Cotswolds (hahaha!). The mood was broken slightly when, during Sam’s heartfelt speech, Dad Vibes by Limp Bizkit came on the stereo and ruined the moment – but rather than ruining the proposal it made them both laugh!

Their wedding day was a scorcher (we promised glorious weather didn’t we?!) but it was nonethless perfect wedding weather for a lovely wedding event full of fun friends and laughter!  The wedding outside was timed perfectly for a slightly cloudy wedding day morning to break out into glorious wedding sunshine that would last the rest of the day!  Epic wedding sunset photos as well as hijinx with som crazay wedding guests sure made this a fantastic wedding day we were honoured to document!
