With on-site accommodation and excellent road links to London and the South-East, The Ravenswood is one of Sussex’s premier wedding venues.

Hurstpierpoint College Chapel Wedding Photography

St John’s Chapel at Hurstpierpoint College was founded by Nathaniel Woodard and Hurstpierpoint College Chapel was particularly important to Alex as Hurtspierpoint College was where she was raised and educated, as such there were many memories and many stories behind the college and its’ buildings. In particular the dorms where Alex stayed made for a stunning backdrop with Father of the bride and the wedding car before the ceremony.

Alex & James’ Wedding at Hurstpierpoint Chapel & The Ravenswood

Alex & James first met at the University of Bath back in 2010. James was studying Electrical Engineering and Alex was studying Medical Engineering. They met through the backstage society, and are still close with many of the friends we made through this group who attended the wedding in force! James proposed on the Summit of Helvellyn in the lake District (well slightly North of the summit so they were out of the way of all the people!). The weather was more stunning than ever experienced in the UK… it felt like the Alps. The sky was blue and cloudless, and there was snow on the ground. Alex & James often go away for their anniversary and had booked a cottage in the Lakes, and when they got to the top James said how it was a lovely view and the perfect place to propose. James didn’t drop the ring on the way up which was a win! haha! And based on a trip up two weeks ago, Alex doesn’t remember much of the route down…
