Weddings At The Officers Mess Brompton Barracks

With such a stunning location for a sensational day, it was a privilage to start the day at the Officers Mess on the active Army Base to the Royal Engineers in Medway at Brompton Barracks.  Excquisite architecture and real history was on display and provided the backdrop to a truly momentous day for Susie & Aine.

It was touch-and-go whether this fabulous wedding would take place, and it was mentioned many times throughout the day that permission for the wedding had to go through the top echelons of the Army as well as to the Home Secretary and Number 10. Thankfully everything was a go on the day and much praise for Padre was in order who made extraordinary efforts to ensure this day was everything it deserved to be for Susie & Aine.

The day started with Brides getting ready at the Officers Mess with close family members arriving throughout the morning before jumping in their wonderful Rolls Royce to head to the Army Church for the big moment!  It was Pimms O’Clock outside with a festive atmosphere before heading in for the big ceremony. A releaxed afternoon culminated in a walkaround for some couples’ portraits around the Brompton Barracks base, taking in the sights of history as we went.  We even had a fly past to celebrate the day! The day finished with a first dance to remember as well as a fantastic lights display and dance floor to set the scene.
