Amy & Jamie had a spectacular wedding planned at Chilston Park Hotel near Maidstone and Ashford – and we were honoured and privileged to be a part of their most wonderful day! No expense was to be spared and they even opted for a wonderful engagement session in Rome! This Chilston Park wedding was one we were waiting for with baited anticipation!

Chilston Park is a luxury hotel and a stunning wedding venue located not far from Maidstone, Canterbury, Ashford and London. Nestled away behind tree lined roads, far away from the hustle and bustle of nearby towns, Chilston Park boasts 22 acres of beautiful parkland for you and your wedding guests to spread out and enjoy! A Grade I listed building, the beautiful Chilston Park offers accommodation for wedding guests as well as the possibility of exclusive hire of the wedding venue.

Amy & Jamie met only a few years ago and Jamie proposed soon after on the 11th may 2017 where had planned to propose during a romantic holiday he thought really hard about it! However, after a lovely night out in the UK the time and moment seemed just right, and with Amy talking about a proposal Jamie decided to propose that night on the spot! It was perfect, Amy didn’t suspect a thing and it just felt right!

Amy & Jamie’s Super Fun Wedding at Chilston Park Near Maidstone & Ashford

The big day started with lots of getting ready to do at Chilston Park hotel, a spectacular wedding venue that boasts exclusive use for this wonderful couple. The lads were more or less on time but the ladies not so much! haha! Nonetheless the big red bus arrived and ferried the guests to their Church for the big ceremony before bringing them back for the wedding party!

The weather was against us, with spots of sunshine interrupted by very heavy showers! English summer time was doing its best not to disappoint but it was hilarious when the whole wedding party was trapped inside the church but for torrential rain (so we do the big wedding group photo inside) – only to be allowed out into glorious sunshine for the confetti!

Back at Chilston the same thing happened again, with sunny spells for their creative photos giving way to big looming clouds which appeared just as we began to do the family portraits. However as luck would have it we just about finished the list before torrential rain forced us all inside Chilston Park’s new outside pavillion! It made for a super fun photo and a funny moment that may easily be the highlight of our year! Luckily the wonderful staff of Chilston were on hand with umbrellas to escort over the guests for dinner.

Just when guests thought the day could not get any better, we were treated to an avenue of fire and some super spectacular wedding fireworks to music to cap off the day!

Amy & Jamie took the full 12 hours coverage possible and with so much go on we delivered a record 1300+ photos! Choosing under 100 for the blog post is always difficult, but was particularly painful here with so many wonderful moments to choose from! Nonetheless, here’s a selection of our favourites from Amy & Jamie’s Chilston Park wedding!
