Whether you’re looking to join the team full time or you’re looking to fill some free weekends, we’d love to discuss the possibility of you joining our team as a lead, second, or third photographer. Each photographer is carefully selected for their combination of talent, creativity, personality, and drive.  Because we invest significant time and resources in the training and development of each team member, we are highly selective in who we bring into the program.

What You Can Expect From Us

Being paid & fed at events, gaining valuable experience & the opportunity to build portfolio.  Furthermore, we get dozens of enquiries per year for dates we are booked or otherwise unable to shoot, which we always refer on to our second shooting team.

What We Expect in Return

We expect a high level of quality from all of our team. We receive many applications from photographers looking for paid work when they are just starting out or have not attained a professional level of depth of skill – and this simply isn’t what we are looking for when working at real weddings with actual wedding clients. Having said that, everyone of an intermediate level and above is more than welcome to learn from us as they work, and Mykey is more than happy to explain his practices and skills with his second shooters.

Wedding Cinematography & Other Suppliers

Cinematography & Videography Positions

Unfortunately due to the sometimes inherently contrasting nature of photography and videography we have seen some clients have both their photography and videography experience suffer due to inexperienced or over-enthusiastic videographers & cinematographers.  Moving forward we will soon be offering exclusive cinematography and videography services in-house to our clients so as to circumvent this issue.  Working under direction of Mykey Day Photography we offer a large number of wedding bookings per year, with comparable pay to your own bookings, portfolio rights, and no acquisition/advertising costs or extensive client interaction.  If you would like to join our growing team please apply below.

Preferred Suppliers

The first thing clients tend to book is the wedding venue, followed shortly by the photographer. As such, we are always in a position to suggest the best vendors and wedding suppliers to our clients before they have booked anything, and indeed most of our clients book vendors exclusively from our preferred supplier list.  If you would like to be considered (especially if you have worked with us before) we’d love to talk to you about recommending you to our clients.  We do not ask for commission for this, we recommend based solely on quality of services and professionalism.
