Winter Wedding At The Secret Garden

Winter Wedding At The Secret Garden

As wedding photographers we have to be very good at keeping secrets (honest) and Nicola & Michael’s wedding at the Secret Garden was no exception where Even Santa Clause AKA Father Christmas couldn’t stay away from this wonderful winter wedding – surprising the kids with his Grotto installed at the back for the evening’s festivities.  Carol singers, snow confetti, and many more Christmas Wedding themed ideas adorned this wonderful day.

Nicola & Michael had a beautiful wedding planned at The Secret Garden in Mersham, truly one of Kent’s most romantic settings. Situated on the beautiful Mersham Le Hatch Estate, The Secret Garden offers a peaceful rural location touting a real taste of the Kent countryside. With three fantastic wedding locations (fully licensed) to choose from for your wedding day, this wonderful Kent Wedding Venue also assures exclusivity and that your wedding will be the only one served on your most special day.

Even in the cold of winter The Secret Garden creates a warm and cosy atmosphere for a winter wedding like Nicola & Michael’s.  Set in an old coach house and overlooking lovingly restored gardens, the pretty cobbled courtyard also boasts several boutique shops. With an old wooden floor and oriental-style screens breaking up its length, the restaurant is a perfect setting for a winter wedding breakfast.

Nicola & Michael’s Winter Wedding at The Secret Garden

Nicola & Michael’s favourite date was at a little pub in Eynesford where they had dinner enjoying an evening of chatting, yummy food and red wine – their favourite things! Michael proposed on the Bateaux River Boat on the Thames in London. They say it’s not often that they get to go out child-free so they got all dressed up for the occasion with a lovely posh dinner on board and the wine was flowing when… just before the cruise finished… Michael, the softy romantic that he is, got down on one knee in front of the whole boat and proposed! A true gentleman if ever we heard one.
