London is a great place for wedding photography and engagement photos.  From night-time shoots around the London landmarks to this lovely gem of green in the middle of the busting city, London London isn’t just the capital of the UK, it’s also a brilliant European destination location for brides and grooms from both England and abroad.

Pre Wedding Photography in London

Karen & Ollie are getting married at Salomons Estate in July 2017, so we had planned an engagement session much earlier in the year, but unfortunately English weather wasn’t playing ball and we had to reschedule.  As a beautiful scenic location near their home, Oxleas Wood was their first and only choice, and having shot here before we knew all the best places to go.

It was a fun day, and after a quick shop around Karen finally found something ‘not black’ (as we always strongly suggest to our clients) so she would look fabulous in their photos together.  Mykey had just come back from a 12 hour wedding the day before in West London, so had to apologise when he kept calling Ollie “Steve”!  Luckily Steve saw the funny side!

Oxleas Wood is a wonderful spot for pre-wedding photos

Just near Eltham and off of Shooters Hill Road, Oxleas Wood is a little-known gem of deciduous green forest in the South-East of London, predominantly in Greenwich but with some overlap into Bexley. Oxleas Wood, along with its’ twin forest of Shepherdleas Wood, are Sites of Special Scientific Interest and date back to the 1300s.  There is also the Oxleas Wood Cafe (usually open around 10-5ish) which is a great place to meet before hand with plenty of parking.

Please see below for some of our favourites from Karen & Ollie’s session together.
